Half naked man grinds trains to a halt

Trains and trams in Gothenburg, western Sweden, were temporarily ground to a halt after a man wearing only his underwear was spotted wandering the tracks. A helicopter was sent out to find him but the exhibitionist wasn't tracked down

"We got a tip off that a person, a man, wearing only his underwear was standing on the tracks," said Björ Blixter of the Västra Götaland police to Aftonbladet.

The half-naked man's scantily clad antics prompted the police to bring trains and trams in the Olsroken region to a halt while a search party was sent out.

Passengers heading towards Stockholm, Trollhättan and Strömstad encountered delays as a result of the exhibitionist.

"We stopped all traffic immediately and sent out a helicopter," added Blixter.

However, the search party sent out to find the man came to no avail and train services soon returned to normal.

"We didn't find anyone so hopefully it was nothing too serious," said Blixter.

After the 30 minute delay train services were back up and running. The whereabouts of the man remain unknown.
