Nigerian Men Are Killing Their Nurse Wives In The US!

A Los Angeles, California based Nigerian, Abiodun Ladepo has raised the alarm over the high number of Nigerian men that are killing their wives who are nurses in the United States. According to Abiodun, this is an epidemic that needs to be checked. Please read his compelling writeup on SaharaReporters. It's quite long, but trust me, you will love it after you read to the end.

Yes I have killed the woman that messed up my life; the woman that has destroyed me. I am at Shalom West. My name is David and I am all yours.”

Those were David Ochola’s words during his 911 (U.S. Emergency Number) call to authorities after shooting dead his 28 years old wife, Priscilla Ochola, in Hennepin, Minnesota. The 50-years old husband was tired of being “disrespected” by his wife, a Registered Nurse (RN) whom he had brought from Nigeria and sponsored through nursing school only to have her make much more than him in salary - a situation which led to Mrs. Ochola “coming and going as she chose without regard for her husband.” The couple had two children – four years old boy and a three years old girl. In Texas, Babajide Okeowo had been separated from his wife, Funke Okeowo, with whom he resided at their Dallas home. Upon the divorce, the husband lost the house to his wife, along with most of the contents therein, as is usually the tradition in U.S. divorces where the couple still has underage children. Mr. Okeowo, 48, divorced his wife because not long after she became a RN and made more money than him, she “took control” of the family finances and “controlled” her husband’s expenditure and movement. The husband could no longer make any meaningful contribution to his family back in Nigeria unless the wife “approved” it. He could not go out without her permission.

Frustrated that his formerly malleable wife had suddenly become such a “terror” to him to the point of asking for in court and getting virtually everything for which he had worked since coming to the US thirty years prior, the husband got in his vehicle and drove a few hundred miles to Dallas to settle the scores. He found her in her SUV, adorned in full Nigerian attire on her way to the birthday bash organized in her honor. She had turned 46 on that day. Mr. Okeowo fired several rounds into his wife’s torso while she sat at the steering wheel, mercilessly killing her in broad daylight. Also in Dallas (they sure need anger management classes in Dallas), Moses Egharevba, 45, did not even bother to get a gun. The husband of Grace Egharevba, 35, bludgeoned her to death with a sledge hammer while their seven years old daughter watched and screamed for peace. Mrs. Egharevba’s “sin” was that she became a RN and started to make more money than her husband. This led to her “financial liberation” from a supposedly tight-fisted husband who had not only brought her from Nigeria, but had also funded her nursing school education. Like Moses Egharevba, Christopher Ndubuisi of Garland, Texas, (these Texas people!) also did not bother to get a gun. He crept into the bedroom where his wife, Christiana, was sleeping and, with several blows of the sledge hammer, crushed her head. Two years before Christiana was killed, her mother, who had been visiting from Nigeria, was found dead in the bathtub under circumstances believed to be suspicious. Of course, Christiana was a RN whose income dwarfed that of her husband as soon as she graduated from nursing school. The husband believed that his role as a husband and head of the household had been usurped by his wife. Mr. Ndubuisi’s several entreaties to his wife’s family to intercede and bring Christiana back under his control had all failed. If circumstances surrounding the death of Christiana’s mother were suspicious, those surrounding the death of a Tennessee woman’s mother were not. Agnes Nwodo, a RN, lived in squalor before her husband, Godfrey Nwodo, rescued her and brought her to the US. He enrolled her in nursing school right away. Upon qualifying as a RN, Mrs. Nwodo assumed “full control” of the household. She brought her mother to live with them against her husband’s wishes. Mrs. Nwodo quickly familiarized herself with US Family Laws and took full advantage of them. Each time the couple argued, the police forced the husband to leave the house whether he had a place to sleep or not.

On many occasions, Mr. Nwodo spent days in police cells. Upon divorcing his wife, Mr. Nwodo lost to his wife the house he had owned for almost 20 years before he married her. He also lost custody of their three children to her, with the court awarding him only periodic visitation rights. Even seeing the children during visitation was always a hassle as the wife would “arrive late to the neutral meeting place and leave early with impunity.” Mr. Nwodo endured so many embarrassing moments from his wife and her mother until he could take it no more. One day, he bought himself a shotgun and killed both his wife and her mother. Caleb Onwudike’s wife, Chinyere Onwudike, 36, became a RN and no longer saw the need to be controlled by her husband. Mr. Onwudike, 41, worked two jobs to send his wife to her dream school upon bringing her to the US from Nigeria. After four years, she qualified as RN. Once she started to make more money than her husband, she began to “call the shots” at home. She “overruled” her husband on the size and cost of the house they purchased in Burtonsville, Maryland. She began to build a house solely in her name in their native Umuahia town of Abia State, Nigeria, without her husband’s input whatsoever. Mrs. Onwudike came and went “as she liked,” within the US and outside the US. In fact, she once travelled to Nigeria for three weeks “without her husband’s permission” to lavishly bury her father despite her husband’s protestations that they had better things to do with the money.

Mrs. Onwudike let her husband know that this was mostly her money and she would spend it however she wanted. Through her hard work, she had risen to a managerial position at the medical center where she worked. Upon her return from burying her father, her husband got one of her kitchen knives and carved her up like Thanksgiving turkey inside their home on New Year’s Day. Death is death no matter how it comes. But the goriest of these maniacal killings is probably this one that happened here in Los Angeles, California. Joseph Mbu, 50, was tired of his RN wife’s “serial disrespect” of him. The disrespect began as soon as she became a RN. Gloria Mbu, 40, had once told her husband he must be “smoking crack cocaine” if he thought he could tell her what to do with her money now that she made more money than him.

Before she became a RN, Mr. Mbu had been very strict with family finances and was borderline dictatorial in his dealings with Mrs. Mbu. However, Mrs. Mbu learned the American system and would no longer allow any man to “put her down.” When Joseph Mbu could not take it anymore, he subdued his wife one day, tied her to his vehicle and dragged her on paved roads all around Los Angeles until her head split in many pieces.

[Author’s note: Although these are true stories, all the names and some of the details of the incidents have been altered as a mark of respect to the families involved. All of the killer husbands noted in these stories were found guilty. Most of them received the death sentence. Only the California and Maryland culprits received life sentences without the possibility of parole.]

It often comes to Nigerian men living in the US as a rude shock when their wives become the household’s bread winner.

It is commonplace for Nigerian men to take important family decisions without consulting their wives; to travel out of town and indeed out of country without consulting their wives. Some do not even bother to inform their wives!

It is not a big deal for Nigerian husbands to answer phone calls from their girlfriends while lying in bed with their wives; to buy expensive gifts for their girlfriends and making only perfunctory, casual attempt to conceal such gifts.

It is nothing strange for Nigerian men to, in fact, bring those girlfriends to their matrimonial homes while their wives are home! What’s the wife going to do to them? Beat them? Leave them? Leave them after one, two or three children? Who’s going to marry her? So Nigerian men think.

This cruel and phenomenal hostage-taking by Nigerian men in Nigeria is what Nigerian women in America are trying to stop. And they figured out the easiest way to begin curtailing these bullish husbands’ wings is to improve their own potential to earn more. And a good way to earn a decent pay in the US (unlike in Nigeria) is to become a Registered Nurse.

What is the big deal if a RN wife makes more money than her husband? In fact, I know of a few military couples with the wives senior in rank to their husbands even though they joined the military at the same time. Yet, nobody is killing or divorcing anybody. Is this strictly an RN thing?

My hope is that some of these RN wives learn from the many other RN wives who successfully manage their homes in spite of making more money than their husbands. My hope is also that the husbands of these RNs learn from husbands of the many RNs who successfully cope with a wife who makes more than they do.

I don’t know how they do it, but for every RN who is killed or divorced by her husband, there are hundreds, if not thousands more who proudly respect their husbands and submit to their husbands’ authority – yes, their husbands’ authority (NOT control and NOT abuse) even here in the US

SSS Summons el-Rufai

The State Security Service (SSS) has invited the Interim Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Malam Nasir El-rufai, to appear at its headquarters in Abuja today over a statement attributed to him in the Thursday edition of one of the national newspapers (not LEADERSHIP).
El- Rufai, former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was reportedly invited to clarify the statement where he was quoted to have stated that, “The next election is likely to be violent and many people are likely going to die. And the only alternative left to get power is to take it by force, this is the reality on the ground.” The former FCT minister had warned that the 2015 general polls would be marred by riots and other forms of violence that might lead to loss of lives and property except the INEC and security agencies were ready to hold credible polls. Pastor Impregnates Teenage Girl, Says Her Waist, Private Parts Needed Deliverance

Pastor and General Overseer of Zion International Christian Church, Idah, Kogi State, Pastor Kingsley may have landed in trouble for his alledged uncontrolled sexual appetite.
The pastor was alledged to have slept with one Mary, daughter of his sunday school teacher on the pretext that the lady was possessed with demons which could only be exorcised through sex. According to the state commissioner of police, Seidu Madawaki who paraded the suspect before newsmen, the bubble bursted for Pastor Kingsley when his attempt to abort the pregnancy was refused by the victim. "After impregnating the girl, he attempted to abort the pregnancy by giving her some liquid substances mixed with olive oil which she refused to drink", he said. The victim said she came to join her parent from the village around November last year when the pastor spotted her in the church on the protext that she had a 'WILD DEMONIC SPIRIT' in her and then ordered her to see him after the church service for deliverance. Frightened, she said she went to meet the pastor immediately after the service. "He told me that my waist and private parts have been ravaged by demons and until deliverance was carried out, I may not be able to have any child in life. "The man of God frightened me and said he would only cast out the demons from me through sexual intercourse but he warned me not to tell anybody on the mode of the deliverance". "After praying into an olive oil, he asked me to undress while he rubbed my waist and private parts with the anointing oil mixed with some substances, he then undressed himself and used the same oil on his private part before he descended on me and started to do the thing". "But I discovered that I was pregnant last week when my mother noticed my conduct and I had to reveal everything to her even though he warned me not to tell anybody," she revealed. However, the 37-year old pastor denied the allegation saying that all he did was to cast out the demons in her, using the anointing oil.

School principal, 6 other homosexuals stoned in Bauchi court

BAUCHI — There was pandemonium at the Upper Court 4 in Anguwan Jaki, Bauchi State, yesterday, as an angry mob almost lynched seven suspected homosexuals brought to court for trial. One of the suspects was identified as the Principal of a Government Secondary School in the state.
The development forced security personnel at the court premises to rescue the suspects by firing gunshots in the air and using teargas to disperse the mob. The suspects are Ibrahim Marafa, Shehu Adamu, Yusuf Adamu, Aliyu Dalhatu, Abdulmalik Tanko, Usman Sabo and Hazif Sabo Abubakar. The angry mob hurled stones at the van carrying them as it sped dangerously back to prison. A few people sustained injuries in the process. The suspects faced charges of allegedly engaging in gay activities in Bauchi State, an action that contravenes the Islamic laws which the state is operating. Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, said the suspects were arrested by the Bauchi State Sharia Commission. The atmosphere around the court was tense as the suspects came out of the court with the mob reigning abuses and pelting them with stones. Earlier, inside the rowdy court, counsel to the Sharia Commission, Danlami Ayuba, told the court that one of the suspects was identified as Ibrahim Marafa, the Principal of Government Secondary School, Mainamaji. When the case was slated for hearing, counsel to the suspect, Abdul Musa, said he was not ready and sought for bail for his client to enable them study the charges. The bail application was rejected by the counsel to the Sharia commission. The presiding judge, El-Yaqub Aliyu, refused to grant the bail and adjourned the case till Monday to enable the prosecutors present their witness. Similarly the State Sharia Commission counsel paraded six other suspects. When their case was mentioned, the presiding judge cautioned the Sharia commission’s counsel to ensure that they had proper evidence on the accused persons before arraigning them. Vanguard News.

Nigeria will start exporting cars soon —Jonathan

President
Goodluck Jonathan on Monday expressed the belief that with the measures
put in place by his administration, especially the new National
Automotive Industry Policy; the country would soon be exporting cars to
other countries.
Jonathan spoke at the Presidential Villa,
Abuja, while granting audience to a delegation of the business
community from Anambra State led by Governor Peter Obi.
In responding to an address by the
delegation, the President said, “I will refer all the issues you raised
to the various departments of government. We are totally committed to
creating jobs. Nigeria is a country with huge population of youths. If
jobs are not created, there will be crisis. The housing, agriculture and
power sectors are also receiving attention.
“In the next few years, Nigeria will
begin to export cars to other countries. We are encouraging the
government to support local manufacturers.”
Jonathan promised that the
industrialists’ basic needs such as roads, power and port facilities
would be addressed appropriately.
He said if Nigeria must become great as expected by all, the Federal Government must industrialise the nation.
To this end, he said his administration would continue to encourage industrialists in the country.
“If any country will be great, we must
industrialise. If Nigeria must be a great country, we must
industrialise. To this end, we will continue to encourage industrialists
in Anambra,” the President added.
He said his government was also devoting
attention and resources to the power sector because of its critical role
in industrialisation.
Vice-President Namadi Sambo told the
delegation that Jonathan had recently approved $3.7bn to improve power
transmission across the country.
Obi had earlier told the President that
the enterprising and preserving nature of Anambra people made them
well-positioned to assist Jonathan to achieve his administration’s
transformation agenda.
While declaring the support of the people
of the state for Jonathan, Obi said, “You have excess credit in your
political account that these people (members of the delegation) are
ready to pay you when you need it.”
The governor said he led the delegation
to express their support for the President and bring to his attention
some of the industrialists’ collective, which if addressed, would help
in anchoring the growth and development of industry in the state.
Some of the needs, according to him, are
the completion of the 330/132/33KV power substation at Nnewi; provision
of uninterrupted power supply in the Onitsha Harbour Industrial Area and
Ozubulu Industrial Hub; completion of the Nnamdi Azikwe Teaching
Hospital, Nnewi; and the inclusion of Anambra State in the rail master
plan.
Obi also made a case for the
rehabilitation and reconstruction of federal roads within the state such
as the Oba-Nnewi-Okigwe Section 1, Nnewi-Okija, start of Onitsha Second
Niger Bridge, completion of the Onitsha-Enugu dual carriageway and
completion of the Umueze-Anam Kogi road.
The governor also thanked the President
for the inclusion of Nnewi in the National Automotive Industry Policy of
the Federal Government.
This, he said, would attract many
ancillary industries, especially with the coming on stream of the
Ajaokuta Steel Plant, adding that the local content in vehicle
manufacturing in no time would increase from 40 per cent to 60 per cent.

Pastor Stabs Pastor Friend To Death After Accusing Him Of Stealing His Glory

A Pastor who operates
and resides in Oyo State, Pastor Adepoju who was a former pastor at The
Apostolic church, TAC, Oke Afata, Gbongan in Osun State has stabbed his pastor
friend to death in his home. Adepoju left Ibadan for Osun State to meet with Pastor
Julius Olusoji Oguntoye in Osun State pretending to be there for a courtesy
visit.
After Oguntoye
welcomed him, Adepoju immediately brought out a knife from his suit and stabbed
Oguntoye several times. He stabbed him on his head, chest and stomach.  While stabbing him, the pastor accused him of
using his glory and that of his children.

Oguntoye, 48, was
buried on Monday in Ede, Osun State amid tears. Some of his members described
him as an easy going person who cannot hurt a fly. He was reportedly
transferred to Gbongan five months ago from Ede, where he served for 12 years
as a Pastor. Interestingly, Adepoju was the best man of late Oguntoye when he
got married several years ago. The killer has been arrested by the police.

Married Pastor Arrested For Allegedly Spreading HIV To His Congregation

A married, panty-pandering pastor was recently arrested

after one of his mistresses in his church congregation allegedly

discovered he was HIV positive and infecting others in the church.
Pastor Craig Lamar Davis looks like any other healthy, happy,

heterosexual pastor with good family values. He was once a preacher at

the Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta and a pillar of leadership in

the community. Also, like a lot of men at the front of the church, the

pastor had a thing for the ladies.

Another thing you might want to know about Davis, according to

authorities, is that the pastor is HIV positive. He also didn’t seem to

care who else became HIV positive after he slept with them.
The pastor was arrested for reckless conduct after police found that he

was sleeping with several women with whom he was not married.
A woman by the name of Ronita McAfee says that she met the pastor on Facebook and began sleeping with him.
Ronita says that she became concerned when one of the pastor’s

ex-girlfriends called her to say that she had HIV. She claims that the

pastor then counseled her (presumably leaning on the word of the good

“lawud”) and told her to get tested.
Davis then says that she noticed that the pastor himself was not

interested in getting tested, even though she had also contracted HIV.

This is what prompted her to seek out a warrant for his arrest.

Ronita is, by our best guess, the first person to file for the arrest of

someone who was found to maliciously spread HIV in Clayton, County,

GA.
When the investigation began, another woman in the church leadership

stepped forward with her confession about interacting with Davis. The

woman even claimed that she’d been celibate for 15 years before meeting

him. She too is HIV positive....culled from stelladimokokorkusblog

First pic of nun who gave birth and claimed she didn't know she was pregnant

Circled is the Salvadorean nun who said she had no idea she was pregnant

when she gave birth to a baby boy last week.

33 year old Roxana Rodriguez, a nun with the order of the Little Disciples of

Jesus, initially claimed she

thought her labour pains were 'stomach cramps' when an ambulance rushed

her to the hospital.

Her picture was published this weekend in the

Italian daily newspaper, Corriere Della Sera.
The new mum reportedly told her social worker:

'I am so happy. I feel more of a

mother than a nun, I think that's obvious. I decided to call him

Francis in honour of our wonderful south American Pope. I do not feel of

guilt. I will be keeping him and bringing him up. He is a gift from God. I am little

worried about all the publicity, not only in Italy but in El Salvador

and all over the world. Everyone is talking about this and I don't think

I will be able to return to my home country"
Sister Roxana took her vows and became a

nun in the order last September and has since written an apology letter

to the Church and her Mother Superior. She revealed that the father of

her child is a man from her native El Salvador but has not named him.

A priest close to the new mum told the Italian magazine:

'It all happened last spring, around March or April time when she

was back in El Salvador to get her passport renewed. She

has not said who the father is but I understand he is an, shall we say,

old flame of hers from when she was younger. At some stage I expect she

will tell the father that he has a son and they will be reunited but I

don't know when that will be

Nun gives birth in Italy, says she didn't know she was pregnant

A Salvadorean nun who said she had no idea she was pregnant gave

birth in Italy this week after she felt stomach cramps in her convent

and was rushed to hospital, Italian media reported on Friday.
The 31-year-old mother and her baby boy, who weighs 3.5 kilograms (9

pounds), are doing well and other new mothers in Rieti hospital have

begun collecting clothes and donations for her, the reports said.
"I did not know I was pregnant. I only felt a stomach pain," the nun was

quoted as saying at the hospital, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. Continue...

La Repubblica said she gave birth on Wednesday.

ANSA

said the nun had named her baby Francesco (Francis) -- also the pope's

chosen title and one of the most popular names in Italy, where St

Francis of Assisi is the much-loved national patron saint.

The hospital could not be reached for comment.

The nun belongs to the "Little Disciples of Jesus" convent in Campomoro

near Rieti, which manages an old people's home and reports said she

would keep the baby.

Her fellow nuns were quoted saying they were "very surprised"
