A man in Jiaxing, China, was supposedly so depressed by his lacking love life that in a moment of desperation, he cut off his penis, the Mirror reported. Shortly after his amateur amputation, 26-year-old Yang Hu had second thoughts and quickly got to a hospital in hopes of getting his sex organ reattached. Actually "quickly" is the wrong word since he went to the hospital by riding his bicycle. To make matters worse -- as if that's possible -- he actually forgot to bring his chopped-off penis with him, requiring him to ride his bike back to the home, the Daily Star reported. When he returned with his dismembered organ, the doctors gave him some bad news: Because Yang's penis had been without blood for too long, it would be impossible to reattach, HuffPost UK reported. As grotesque as Yang's self-inflicted injuries may be, penis manglings are surprisingly common. In September, Gentil Ramirez, of Gigante, Colombia, took so much Viagra (the erectile dysfunction medication) that he ended up needing surgery on his penis, which was inflamed, fractured, and infected with gangrene. While multiple media outlets initially reported that the 66-year-old's penis was amputated, Ramirez told reporters that his manhood is still intact. In June, police in Ypslanti, Mich., found a naked man who was bloody after ripping off a part of his penis during a drug-fueled craze. In April, jurors in Orange County, California, found Catherine Kieu guilty of torture and aggravated mayhem for a July 2011 attack on her estranged husband where she cut off his penis and tossed it in the garbage. World's tallest man gets married in Turkey

Sultan Kosen, the world's tallest man, married a Syrian woman over 2-feet shorter than he is on Saturday. At 5 feet 8 inches, Kosen's wife Mervi Dibo, 20, is not a short lady, but standing next to her 8-foot-3-inch husband she hardly reaches his waist. "How unfortunate I could not find a suitable girl of my own size. My fiancée is over 1.75 meters tall, but I believe I've found the person for me," he said. Born in southeastern Turkey, Kosen, 31, rose to fame in September 2009 after Guinness World Records declared him the tallest man in the world. His growth is a result of a tumor that affects his pituitary gland. Besides his record height, Kosen also holds the Guinness record for his nearly 9-inch-wide hands and feet that are over 14 inches long.

Mother posts message to thief who took son's pumpkin

A mother in the U.S. capital posted a message outside her home addressed to the thief who stole her 2-year-old son's pumpkin. Becky Reina said her family carved four Halloween pumpkins, including one for 2-year-old Tommy, and the toddler's pumpkin turned up missing from outside their home last week, WTOP-TV, Washington, reported Tuesday. "To the person who stole my son's pumpkin: Thank you for the life lesson. This will help teach him that sometimes people are mean for no reason, and you have to just brush it off. Because my son is 2 years old and cannot read the sign, I will add, you are an [expletive]," Reina wrote on a poster board she put outside the home. Reina said pumpkins in the area are often stolen and smashed, but Tommy's pumpkin was the only one of the four outside her home to be targeted. She said the pumpkin was likely among those found destroyed by neighbors.

Principal Defiled Boy In Office While Parent Waited Outside

A former middle school principal in North Carolina is accused of sexually assaulting a student while the boy’s unsuspecting parent was outside the room.David Ellis Edwards, 49, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree forcible s*x offense, s*xual acts with a student, taking indecent liberties with a minor and crimes against nature, WTVD reported. Deputies say that between 2009 and 2011, Edwards molested at least three boys between the ages of 11 and 14. At least one of the incidents allegedly occurred in Edward’s office while the victim’s parent sat in a nearby waiting area. Edwards resigned from his position at Douglas Byrd Middle School, where he had been since 2010, in August, WNCN reported. Before that, he was principal of Ramsey Street Alternative School. Officials believe that all of the s*xual assaults took place on the campuses of these two schools.Authorities have also noted they “believe there were more than the three victims,”sheriff’s spokeswoman Debbie Tanna told the Fayetteville Observer.The school system has said that when Edwards resigned, they were unaware there was a pending investigation. He claimed he was leaving for educational opportunities,according to WTVD.
